Purchase, Taxes and Fees

In addition to the property price, one should also consider these municipal fees.
The buyer becomes the full owner of the property (building) upon signing the lease contract and the purchase agreement with the developer. In Bali, foreigners cannot own land, so land is purchased on a leasehold basis for 29 years with a guaranteed extension of ownership for an additional 25 years. A 1% fee is paid to the notary for verification and for the transfer of ownership rights. Connection to utility networks depends on the distance from the networks, but ranges from €400 to €700.
